Today, we – the tourist guides of Hamburg Guides – were trained in the topic “Hamburg, a City of Music” on site in the recently opened composers’ quarter. A large group of tourist guides could get to know well or less known details about the composers Georg Philipp Telemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Johann Adolf Hasse in the museum in Peterstraße. With this new Composers’ Quarter, which also includes a Johannes Brahms Museum, Hamburg strives to position the City as a “City of Music” rather than only musicals. I can highly recommend a visit to all of Hamburg’s guests!

Probably worth a visit. Are there Sound samples? Pictures Look inviting!
It is definitely worth a visit! There are a lot of sound samples which you are able to listen to through ear phones. You can borrow them from the museum. There are also small videos showing the lives of the composers and different interactive touchscreens relating to different topics.
