Today, we tour guides from Hamburg Guides had the opportunity to learn more about Hamburg as a city of music in the newly opened Composers’ Quarter. The crowds were large and we were able to learn well-known and lesser-known details about the musicians Georg Philipp Telemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Johann Adolf Hasse in the museum in Peterstraße. With the new composers’ quarter, which also contains a Johannes Brahms Museum, Hamburg wants to position itself as a city of music, not just musicals. I can warmly recommend a visit to all visitors to Hamburg!
