Hamburg Guides represented at the #WFTGA2017 in Iran
It’s that time again: every two years, the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) invites you to the conference. Two years ago, the Iranian Tourist Guide Association made a convincing presentation, so this year we have the pleasure of being guests in this culturally rich country. To make the long journey worthwhile, a pre- and post-conference program will be offered in addition to the conference. For this reason, as 2nd Chairwoman of Hamburg Guides e.V., Iarrived in Tehran on January 23, 2017.
Today the preliminary program in Qazvin, Soltaniyeh, Zanjan and Hamedan comes to an end and I can say with the voice of all the tour guide colleagues I have met so far – from England, Scotland, France, Iran, Italy, Russia, America, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Germany – that we are deeply impressed by the friendliness of the people and the program as well as the attention we receive. We all agree that tour guides are not only ambassadors of their city, region and country, but also ambassadors of peace and international understanding!
