On the road with Neubauer in southern Norway
“Good morning, good morning, good morning, sunshine!” – That’s how we were greeted today and it kept its word. On our drive from our beautiful hotel in Byglandsfjord through a barren but less boring landscape, we were accompanied by good weather. We saw various waterfalls, rock formations, countless sheep, mosses, lichens, snow and lakes. The view of the fjord was also impressive. With an excellent driving performance, we wound our way through even the tightest hairpin bends so that we arrived at the ferry terminal in Lysebotn on time.
For the next two hours, we marveled on deck at the numerous rock formations on both sides of the Lysefjord, let the wind blow around our noses and let the sun shine on our faces. Perhaps we also enjoyed a sausage or two in a roll – Pölser… All in all, the trip was a complete success and we happily got back on the bus in Lauvvik. The rest of the journey via Stavanger to our hotel in Stord was a little quieter. Another short ferry passage and a troll story before we arrived at the hotel. After a three-course meal, which the cook presented in German, everyone went their separate ways…
