Experience the north with Neubauer Reisen
Right on time at just before nine o’clock, we were able to set off in the direction of the Arctic Ocean Cathedral, which is actually called Tromsdalen Church. Even though we weren’t the only ones who wanted to visit the church at this time of day, we managed to get inside before the other buses. Inside, we marveled at the largest stained glass windows in Europe and outside we took photos of Tromsö city center on the other side. The Hurtigruten and cruise ships at the various moorings in the city were also quite impressive. We then made our way to Svolvaer, the capital of the Lofoten archipelago. We first drove over the northern neighbors, the Vesteralen, where we already got a great impression of the landscape to be expected. High mountains, deep fjords, bridges, tunnels, small villages, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Here, the first impression is the most important one! As our hotel was very close to the Hurtigruten quay, we were able to take a look at both ships. One of the two was even the last traditional generation, M/S Lofoten.
