Experience the north with Neubauer Reisen
This morning we explored the winter sports resort of Lahti together. The ski jumpers we had ordered were also there on time and practising. The swimming pool was also open so that we could score points with bonus knowledge on the next TV sports evening. During a short drive through the town, we took a look at the church designed by Finnish architect Alvar Alto and the Sibelius Hall, which is said to be one of the best concert halls in Northern Europe.
The route continued through the sheer endless expanse of the Finnish Lake District, passing places such as Heinola, where the Sauna World Championships were held from 1999 to 2010. In between, we had some licorice ice cream, which some of the guests have learned to love… Once we arrived in Kajaani, the former tar center, we still had enough time to enjoy dinner and explore the city in the evening.
