Experience the north with Neubauer Reisen

20170628_115904[1]After a somewhat quieter day yesterday, we had to get up early today to catch the ferry from Svolvaer (Lofoten) to Skutvik (mainland). We had a two and a half hour ferry ride ahead of us, some of which we spent completely on deck, as the sun was kind to us. How nice it was to see the Lofoten Islands as an ensemble for once. Photos were taken like an assembly line. After arriving on the mainland, we first drove along a narrow “imperial road”. We found a nice photo stop here and there and were able to have lunch under a blue sky at a rest area with rock carvings.

20170628_143914[1]In any case, the weather was in our favor. Even when we crossed the Arctic Circle for the second time on this trip – this time heading south – we found blue skies again. We were able to walk around the Saltfjell-Svartisen National Park, explore the Arctic Circle Center and, of course, buy some overpriced souvenirs. Many guests came back to the parking lot with an ice cream. The last stage to our overnight destination, Mo i Rana, passed quickly, even though we had to endure a few roadworks. The evening was therefore at leisure.
