With Neubauer Reisen we experience the north

The longest day of the year also turned out to be relatively long in terms of travel time. We set off in a roughly northerly direction. We found out about the Arctic Circle, the Northern Lights, the Arctic Day and Santa Claus, who has pitched his tent in Finland in the Arctic Circle.

During a short break in Oulu, we visited the old market hall and had a chance to explore the town. In Rovaniemi we were able to write all our Christmas post today and ask Santa Claus to think of our loved ones. We also took the obligatory photos on the Arctic Circle, which – as we now know – is actually a little further north. We then drove through the northern lake district to our overnight stay in Saariselkä, where reindeer were already waiting for us.
